Chasing Down the "DreamHighway," Which Exit Do I Get Off?

I receive countless pieces of mail every day, and an endless number of emails from other marketers promoting the next big thing. That great energy drink, or magic juice potion, or super vitamin, mobile service, or energy supplier, and so forth, all promising that you will create a lot of money, join today. An endless amount of program "traffic" on the super "Dream Highway". Everyone wants you to join their opportunity, business, program, matrix, cycle, circle, and so forth. The "Dream Highway" has grown huge the past decade, but the systems that people are using to share their opportunities are still in the 18th century, horse and buggy! You have to know when to take the right "exit".I sit at my desk tossing mail in the trash can, and hitting delete, delete, delete trying to get the emails to stop but they keep coming. I ask myself, what are these people doing? Everyone seems to be after the same goal; financial freedom from something, money for something else, all trying to get out of what they are already doing that's not working obviously, and into something else that may not be working either of they would not have just blind sided me with 15 emails in the past 24 hours begging me to join, without a notion who I am, or what I am all about.I occasionally pick up the phone to speak to a few of these "dream travelers" and ask them... "Whatcha doing and why do you think I want to do it too?" They proceed to read their script and offer to three-way me into their upline mentor who just joined last month and is still doing house meetings, cold calling from a leads list a decade old, and asking them to get a few names from me that are my family and friends. I'm like... HEY... WAIT A MINUTE WILL YA! I proceed to ask " What systems do you have in place, and how automated are they?" This is where they usually stumble, murmur something under their breath, trying to remain excited, but don't have a clue other than what their mentor told them. make a list, email or cold call, read from a script, three-way him or her in, and ask for some names of family or friends that might be interested! WHAT!Old school folks! Stop pestering people that have no clue why you would be calling them after 20 years since you both left college! Jumping on today's "Dream Highway" you must prepare yourself with the best resources if you wish to be a successful marketer in today's marketplace. What to look for is simple. If you take the time, and plan your trip down "Dream Highway" you will find the right "Exit" to get off and align yourself with. One: Look to align with a person or community that has systems in place to attract people to a specific opportunity. Random, shot-gun approaches like handing business cards out at gas stations, might not be the best approach to build a group. Team with a person or community that have systems or platforms that are nearly 100 percent automated and have the ability to be duplicated by others easily. Aligning with someone that has no idea what they are doing is a recipe for failure from day one. Two: Look for a product, service, or educational resource that has value, not some drink this real quick juice and buy more to make money, fly by night, easy come, easy go, potion or lotion. Aligning with the wrong product does not work for the masses, its to specific to individual taste. Remember that old adage, give a man to fish, he eats for a day, teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime! You should always align with a product that has ongoing educational and informational value and can be an asset to anyone that is breathing!Three: Look for a source of income generation that is going to have immediate results for anyone starting out from day one. A person interested in becoming involved with starting a business wants to make money! Don't offer someone an opportunity that, lets say, takes 5 years to build, and needs 50,000 people involved to get paid..... forget about it!!! IT WILL NOT HAPPEN! I don't care how good you are or how great your systems are. it does not work long term! Your dead in the water in months and the bleeding will continue for years trying to make something stick!Any opportunity should be able to create a significant amount of income in 30 to 60 days (or less), with as few people necessary to create that income for you, meaning higher ticket opportunities will always be better that lower ticket one. Higher ticket opportunities will have a higher commitment level, and will attract a better quality person that will team with you for a very long time.
