USANA Pyramid Scheme - Does a USANA Pyramid Scheme Really Exist?

The answer to "does a USANA pyramid scheme really exist" is really very cut and dry. Is the the business structure shaped like a pyramid? You bet it is. So is the structure of Wal-Mart, Microsoft, Google and every other corporation out there. But more importantly, is it a scheme? The defining characteristic of a pyramid scheme is that there are no products being offered. You bring your $1,000 to the party, and the people in your upline share the commission on you. What do you have to show for your $1,000? Absolutely nothing except the right to scam the people you can now bring to the party. That's it. It's so simple. In order for a USANA pyramid scheme to exist, they would have to stop offering, creating and manufacturing products. Whether or not you believe in the products, there is absolutely no denying that a company that has existed since 1992, produces real products, is publicly traded and pays it's associates real (and a lot of it) money is a legitimate company. When I field questions about the so-called USANA scheme, it really disappoints me...Not only for USANA, but for the network marketing industry as a whole. Yes, there are some really bad companies out there, but that doesn't mean that the entire industry is one big pyramid scheme. Why does the industry as a whole get such a bad reputation? The answer is this: too many people believe it is a get rich quick opportunity. In all fairness, some are lured with some shady marketing. Here's what happens: people get into the industry with aspirations of making huge fortunes without doing the work, fail with 97% of the rest and then blame the industry or their company. The reality is that it is a business and you have to treat it as such.If you expect to be a professional golfer and don't ever practice, do you blame the clubs for not making it to the PGA tour? It's the same thing. People would say you are insane for blaming your clubs and not your terrible swing. Plug in any sport or occupation and the same rules still apply.Or, if you are selling Girl Scout cookies; let's put the two typical Girl Scouts side-by-side because we can all relate. Are you the one who has your Mom and Dad take the order form to work and lay it on a table in the lunchroom? Or, are you the one that goes door to door all over town and asking anyone within two feet of you, "How many boxes of Thinmints would you like?"Clearly, the latter Girl Scout is the one who is going to win the trip to Space Camp or whatever the prize is these days. Now, does the first girl blame her lack of success on the Girl Scouts of America? No, because even a 10 year old girls gets it and knows that she didn't do the work and she doesn't deserve the reward. Why don't failed network marketers get it?Truth is, deep down they do get it. But it is so much easier to blame somebody else than be accountable for yourself. That is just a microcosm of the world in which we live and, in this particular case, manifests itself by complaints and excuses about the industry. So, does a USANA Pyramid Scheme really exist? While I can appreciate the semantically, geometrical argument that it is technically shaped like a triangle, if you put all biases aside and really look at the facts, the answer is absolutely not and there are tens of thousands of successful distributors that will agree with me.
