My mentor is one of the global success stories in Network Marketing. People often tell him he is lucky. As someone who works harder than almost anyone I know, I believe he creates his own luck. So hard work is the basis of 'luck' but let's look at what other factors come into the equation.People join people so MLM is fundamentally about you. But you still need to find a company where you feel comfortable with a management team which has real integrity. That is often not the case so do some due diligence here and do a search on the team members to find out about them. You can often predict a company that will go 'belly up' in the first couple of years by looking at who runs it.Consider the product too. To create volume, the product has to be a good seller and one you believe in and use - and that you would buy even if it wasn't your business. I have always had an interest in natural health care so it is logical that I have chosen to work with a company producing natural health products.You must have a cast iron strong 'Why'. Without that there will be no motivation to take you through the inevitable challenges you will face. Make no mistake some sacrifice will be needed to work from home. Most people start their home business alongside having a regular job or raising a family. So what will you need to sacrifice for the few years it will take to create that residual income? Only you know, but in my experience the TV and continuing to hang out with old friends can be two of the biggest distractions in your life. Watching the occasional programme may help you unwind and I don't suggest you cast all your old friends on the scrap heap. But too many old relationships are often time fillers with people from whom you will have moved on when you embrace the entrepreneurial life.Lead generation comes from talking to people. If your company has a good system or training to help you with this, you are off to a good start. But above all, just develop your people skills; learn how to strike up conversations with strangers and turn them into friends. I am not suggesting you hit everyone in sight with your opportunity, but you must be able to talk to lots of people so you can meet those prospects who may want what you are offering. Start a blog; join social media sites; join local clubs and societies; talk to folk in supermarket queues. Learn to talk and listen. Take a look at Tom 'Big Al' Schreiter's website - FortuneNow. He offers some fantastic generic training, much of which is free.'To have more, you must become more' so self-improvement is essential. Try and read at least 25 pages of a good book every day. Listen to audios daily as well - just 10 or 15 minutes is enough. Keep learning and growing. Consistent daily actions performed over time will bring you success. Your good luck is a decision so decide well and aim high.This industry can bring fantastic rewards. Unfortunately many people give up when they are on the brink of achieving greatness. It usually takes a lot of effort over time with only glimpses of the fruits in the early stages. So keep going, trust in the work you are putting in and you will be rewarded.
