Buying Leads Vs Generating Leads - Part 1

Do you have any leads for your business? If you do, how much money are you spending? What's your ROI (return on investment)? If you are like most network marketers, you have spent money on leads and had a very low return on investment.Why? Because paid leads are low quality leads. They maybe overused leads which been bombarded by other home business opportunities. Paid leads are people looking for a quick fix who do not understand the work ethic it takes to be successful.Paid leads are more likely to be tirekickers who are lazy and want to be sold a dream. They do not want to work for it. Plus, the lead list that you are sold, you do not own! So once it is used up, it goes right back to the company that sold it to you.Let's take a deeper look into the cost of paid leads and how the cost can add up very quickly. I'm going to assume that you do not have a whole lot of money to be spending here. BBB - "A" Rating from the Better Business Bureau.This is huge. It is also a very difficult thing to find in a home based business. But you can find one if you search. Don't join a fitness/nutrition business unless it has this rating. This is like insurance for your business. I have been involved with companies in the past who has bad ratings from the BBB. Of course the leaders in the company would just chalk that up to disgruntled, or lazy distributors, or ignorance. Well that may or may not be the case but why not go with a company with an "A" rating in the first place.Many people check the BBB first when considering buying products or joining an organization. This is a good thing. That means they are a smart consumer and smart potential team member. The credibility added to one's business by having an "A" Rating from the Better Business Bureau is a huge advantage when trying to get customers or distributors.2. Nikken - Say it Backwards and It's Much More Fun!

Nikken has longevity not usually seen in an MLM. The founder of Nikken, Isamu Masuda is basically an inventor at his core; he also has a belief system which has made him care about improving the quality of life for the rest of us which he calls "The 5 Pillars of Health". The company has been in business since 1975 and opened its doors of their American office in 1989; If you're having a bad math day, that's more than 3 decades! I won't say it's unheard of but it does give them a good track record in the MLM industry to say the least.Nikken has combined technology and environmental concerns of the household with unique and holistic methods for solving some very fundamental problems. As an example, I'll tell you about Mr. Masuda's first invention, the Magsteps. The Magsteps are insoles that draw on the healing energy of, as the name suggests, magnets to reroute the energy flow in our bodies in order to provide healing effects. Now that's one to get you moving!It is apparent once you look at Nikken's full line of products that what drives their creation is some sort of core health issue. You can find a wide range of technologies that help with sleeping, air quality and healing energy flows. In keeping with the philosophy of "The 5 Pillars of Health" (Healthy Body, Mind, Family, Society and Finances) Nikken has also developed products for healthy nutrition, healthy skin care and pet care. I've seen a few MLM's with product lines this big, but only a few. Sure, I've found the usual debunker talk, but I'm also seeing solid science behind the sales speak. Let's move on to the money part.The compensation plan is clean cut. You develop three team members and from there you move up a rank. There are 9 ranks to work though. One thing that seems to be unique to Nikken is you can't drop back a rank; that rank is permanent even if your team starts to go through the attrition process familiar with all MLM business models. Could it be possible?The income streams are also straight forward. Here's the list...1. Retail Profits2. Wholesale Profits3. Residual Income (from your team members)4. Performance and Leadership Bonuses5. Incentive Programs for your car and home.They also list tax deductions and benefits but that one doesn't really fit by my way of thinking so I'm just going to leave it out.Now that I've been through the site, evaluated the products and compensation plan and searched for legitimate complaints, the only conclusion I can draw is this is a solid MLM opportunity. That being said, if you don't find a product that you know for a fact works, maybe you should move on and keep searching. Personally? It's not for me even with the promise of permanent ranking inside the compensation plan. Attrition is attrition all the same and most people leave because they simply don't have the patience to build a business and for that reason alone, I'll stick with what I know and leave the Nikken out there for now.
