The key to make money is do not make foolish decisions, also do not make hasty ones either. Now, having a little bit of money, a lot of money, a little fortune or a large fortune, it does not make a difference. The key to making money is retaining as much as you can, but getting it to work for you.A big mistake most people get into in choosing a business is finding something that people say there is a lot of money in, and jump at it. Now, why do you want to start a business with that money? I am not saying it is a bad thing, but do not make a bad decision on a business, without knowing the details. I had a conversation with someone recently, and we talked about this very question. I asked why they wanted to start a business and they said the obvious, to make more money. I asked the follow-up question, do you know what it takes to build a business and do you know how to market the business. I was quickly informed that the person they are talking to knows the company and says that they are very successful. I said great and what is their background, and I was told a mechanic that worked for a large discount store. The person introduced me to the person and I asked the same question and they said it is easy, all you have to know is talk to friends and family. I asked them how many of their friend and family were working with them. My friend was ready to crawl under a rock, because I was going to talk to the person direct. They said one is looking at it. I asked and who would that be and they responded it was my friend.Now, if this does not hit home, the best business is not going to tell you what you want to hear. Now, after having a conversation with them, I shared another article I wrote on picking a business. I told them that would lead them to the best business for them because it was based upon their passion. Now, we also talked about costs of business and what it took to build one, and I shared the article I wrote where I discuss cost. Now, I did share with my friend that the company that they talked about, I work with on a daily basis to help them grow their businesses. Now, this is where I was asked, so that company is not very good? I said yes it was, but again, you need to have a marketing plan and no one will teach you that in the company. I also told them how I work with all the valid networking companies, because this is one area a lot of people need guidance. I told them that I am not the only person out there that helps people, but I said you have to believe in them and trust the person who is guiding you.You would not feel safe if you do not trust your guide as you climb a mountain if they never did it before. So you need to find someone who will tell you when you are getting into danger. So with the money you have, invest in education and then in the company that produces the product that you love and believe in.
