For anyone familiar with network marketing and multi-level marketing, a successful and vibrant downline is crucial to the success of your own company, directly affecting your weekly and monthly paychecks and bonuses. In fact, most of your checks come from the activities of your downline.But what about your upline?Far too many people in the MLM business are silent or, worse yet, helpless to anyone in their downline. What if I knocked on that same door and I say, I'm Adrian with Newman's Network and I have a truck full of graded gold and silver coins for you, take as many as you'd like. How many are you going to take then? You're going to take every single one. You're going to tear my upholstery, look under the seats, check my pockets, and get your wheelbarrow. You're going to take every single one. They're actually the ultimate consumable because you just can't have enough of these.While it's still early in the game, all signs point to Numis Network being the real deal and not a scam. I doubt it! Of course I can't get inside the head of a turkey, but I think there was one thing on his mind: I'm gonna get lucky!Animals don't doubt themselves. They go after what they want. Sometimes they have to fight for it, but they never stop to question whether or not they should go for it. So why do we?They don't question their methods either. I have one cat who drinks from the bowl and another who sticks her paw in the water and licks it off. Someone told me their cat will only drink from the dog's bowl. Another lady told me her cat likes water fresh from the faucet. She had a face full of cleanser and was trying to wash it off, and the cat kept interfering! Do they care if we laugh at their antics? No! So why do we let criticism bother us so much?One of my mentors, Art Jonak, tells new distributors something like this: "You will not succeed because of me nor fail because of me. Your success is inside of YOU." Of course new distributors need help. They need training about people, and training about the industry. But you cannot teach someone to be motivated and self-confident. You can teach them methods to develop motivation and self-confidence but they must do the work themselves.To make it in MLM, you need to be absolutely driven. You need to be focused. Your sponsor cannot do that for you, even if they call you every hour!People will criticise you for getting into MLM. Often our relatives and friends are the worst critics. Who Are These People That Keep Contacting Me on Facebook?

Several people have asked me recently why they received a friend request from me, or why they receive weekly messages from me. So I thought I would write about why this happens, to help those who are feeling "bombarded" understand where all of this is coming from.Social media sites were started to help people connect with friends and find friends they haven't talked to in a long time. But it wasn't long before people figured out they could use these sites to market. The training most people receive when they join a network marketing company includes "make a list of friends and family" as a first step in their marketing strategy, so if you already have a list on Facebook it would be natural to start there if you believe in this strategy. I personally found this to fall flat on its face and make me a member of the "NFL" (no friends left) club! Seriously, my true friends just said "no thanks" but that still didn't get me any new distributors!These days, people who want to use social media to brand themselves and build their network marketing/MLM business are taught to:
Reach out to people who are also in MLM/network marketing
Form groups of the people who accept the connection
Stay in touch with group members to brand yourself and build relationships
All of this is done with the hope that someday you can do business with some of these people. You may not have even noticed the notifications (I didn't for a long time) but you may notice the messages, especially if you receive email alerts when you receive a message (which you can turn off.)The only recourse I know of if you want to stop receiving the friend requests, messages, and notifications is to leave the types of groups and fan pages mentioned above. Especially in the case of messages, some people send way more than others so you might choose to eliminate only those who are truly annoying!I hope this helps those of you who do not want these communications and did not understand where they were coming from.
