Marketing on the Internet - What Exactly is it About?

You hear stories about making hundreds or thousands of dollars every month on marketing on the web. How much have you actually made so far? Made anything... a hundred, less?Don't feel bad, they say over 90% of Internet Marketers make LESS THAN $10.00 PER WEEK! That's saying something, isn't it? No, this is not where I say how much I make either. Nor will I try to get you to buy anything from me.Right now I'm in this place in my Internet career that I would like to quit. That is how I really feel. Okay, so what's with writing another article?I do believe that money can be made in here. This "Internet" is no different than any other business or store that has ever been started. Your return will be in relation to the effort and investment you input. To begin with, I am currently only bringing to it a heck of a lot of work and time. (The good part is it's from my own home.) Second, I enjoy what I am doing. Thirdly, and most importantly, I am retired so I have the time.Those of you who are not retired or financially independent, that presents lots of difficulties. And I do mean a lot! Should you still have a career, there are not many openings in your schedule already. So it stands if you apply yourself in here with no quick gratification, your tolerance level won't last for long and quitting will become much more of an answer much sooner. Easy to understand.However, you will miss out on an eventual goldmine in doing so. There is a major difference between the Internet and a regular business and it is that your overhead is extremely low.Almost everyone who tries this already has a computer on line. Computer access is a very common thing these days. You can sell and promote other peoples stuff and make money! Starting this thing up and running it can be done ALL DAY LONG - NO TIME RESTRICTIONS! If you are serious about making it in here there are a lot of reasons to do so!You have to ask yourself if you really want to do something from home. (Heck, you can do it from anywhere!) You have to know that YOU can spend time on it every day. This will require YOU to be TOTALLY committed! If you can answer these things to yourself in the affirmative, you can jump in with both feet and HAVE AT IT!I told you that I have reached a point where I am ready to quit. That much is true. As I have grown older, I have began 4 other businesses, and they were all successful. Initially in all four cases, I more than once in each given thoughts of quitting. But I didn't. Looking back in reminiscence I can honestly say, that all four of those start-ups, had lots of stress, heartbreak and lots of expenses.Given the opportunity would I do them again? MOST CERTAINLY! I would not give it a second thought. You ask why? Once they were functional, I made good money, had the respect of my peers whom had made fun of me while starting them, and made my family proud of me. That is not to mention the pride in myself of my accomplishing my goals.Those are the things that will get you through this initial start up phase you are now in. Realizing that if you just stick with it, that you are giving it your all, and realizing that when you succeed that you have accomplished something that none of those who are giving you grief now can or most likely ever will.
