Network Marketing and Sales in One Sentence?

WARNING***WARNING****WARNING*****WARNING***WARNINGIf you cannot wrap your head around the fact you are in "Sales" when you have a network marketing business, please don't waste your time, STOP here and don't read any further.You have to "sell" yourself first and foremost. You have to be able to "sell" your product or service. Lastly, you have to "sell" your primary opportunity.Still with me?Listening your way into a sale will be a subject for another day but now I know if I mention the dreaded sales word, you'll be prepared for it.Keep in mind a prospect will not join you until their needs match your offer. Do not, do not, (did I mention do not?) rush that in any way.You've connected with complete strangers and turned them into friends. Have you created an awareness of what you offer and provide to help these people? Let me clarify that. Is it possible for you to go out for a nice dinner to a restaurant you've never heard of? Impossible isn't it? It's not a part of your awareness. Create that awareness within your friendship circles. Does that mean you slam everyone you meet with your product and service? NO! But it is possible to talk about what you know, what you've learned, what benefit you got out of using XYZ system or product without coming across as the proverbial jerk.Provide value and solutions while you showcase YOU and provide it all for free via your blog, videos or articles. The more value you provide, the more people will start to follow you, search you out, returning time after time to find out what more they can learn from you. People don't really care about you but they do care how you've made them feel - smarter, more confident, more comfortable, more knowledgeable, hopeful!And now when the timing is right for them, they will move along your sales cycle.Offer them something that costs them money. Not a lot - maybe a $1 trial offer to the system that will benefit them by taking away their frustration, adding to their knowledge base so something will be simpler, easier, and coolness itself, they will become a part of you and your world. It might be an ebook, a report but keep the cost low and exciting if they take advantage of it now. Why the $1 charge? They've made a commitment. For most people if they've spent any money on it they'll read it, follow up, etc. If it's free it has less value, less urgency.Over deliver what you've promised or offered so they have the "Shock and Awe Coolness" experience. "For only a buck I got............. WOW!"Can you feel it? Can you see how the sales cycle is working because now:- you've developed a relationship with these people- they think you are incredible (Look what he/she has given me)- they know you are going somewhere and they'd love to have/be/do what you are having/being/doing.NOW THEY ARE READY:For you to offer the higher ticketed item, the real money generator, your back end primary opportunity.You have build the know, like and trust and people will move through the sales cycle at their pace - not yours. Qualified prospects eager to work with you. Win - Win situation for everyone concerned.Now here's the secret I am going to share only with you. I learned this by listening to a one hour training video in the back office of MLSP. I'm not a genius, I didn't figure this out for myself. I chose to follow this very same sales cycle and I popped out at the end. On the road to "awesomeness"!I'm outa here. Back to MLSP to learn more so I can share more.
