Building Your Network Marketing Business is About Duplication - But Not What You Think

If you have been in network marketing for any time you must have heard the saying, "building your network marketing business is all about duplication," but is it? Many people have focused all their energy, all their time, and all their skills trying to duplicate themselves in their business, only to find that their effort has not worked or help their cause in any way. Why is this?There are certain guidelines that veteran network marketers follow. They do these activities consistently over time to achieve their goals, and those are what you need to do too to achieve yours. You must understand that "some will, some won't, so what?" Those who "will" is going to do it no matter what, and those who "won't" is going to do it no matter what. Do not try to duplicate yourself through whiners and losers, it will kill you!As a network marketer, you are obligated to yourself to build a successful business. So how can you accomplish that? You take the action steps daily that will get you to your destination. These include advertising, prospecting, following-up with your prospects, helping your new people get started right, and having a once or twice per week webinar or conference call to keep your team plugged in. Time is a precious commodity, spend time with people who deserve it, not those who you think need it.Some years ago I joined a network marketing company and I was told by my upline that in order for me to succeed, I should duplicate myself three times in my business. The first thing that came to my mind was that "I did not want anyone in my business to be like me at that time." I was shy, didn't know anything about the industry, didn't know anything about building a business, so why should I want to duplicate myself?Some time later, another upline told me that I had to become the person that I wanted to duplicate in my business. That made a little more sense, but still, nobody wants to be a copy-cat. Even if there are some positive characteristics, everyone of us have unique qualities that we would like to enhance. Your goal is to find the few who have a burning desire to change their lives, and are committed to do it, not to instill all of your ideologies in them.To build a successful network marketing business, you will have to go through the numbers. You will have to sift and sort in order to find the few that is going to do it. You must remember that not everyone is going to do it, and the sooner you stop trying to save the world and pay attention to building your business, the sooner you will understand what the good book says, "God help those who help themselves." This should be your philosophy as well.Over the years, all the statistics have shown that upwards of 95% of the people who start a network marketing business never really make it. Many of them never made a single dime. There are various reasons for this, but the main reason did not have anything to do with the compensation plan, or that their sponsor was not helping them enough, or that they had a full time job and didn't have the time to do it, they "had NO desire."Many people will say they want to make a million dollars, but how many really make it? How many people is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done? The ones who do it will find a way to do it no matter what obstacles are in their way. They will do whatever it takes to get the job done, and you should too.Yes, building your network marketing business is about duplication, but not in the way some people might think.Stop trying to save everyone, including your family members. There are some people who will impose on your time at every opportunity they get. They have this "NEEDY" mentality, but they never do anything! They just want to get everything done for them the easy way but never try to learn it for themselves. If you are really serious about building a successful network marketing business then you owe it to yourself and your family to go out and "find new blood." Go through the numbers and you will find the ones "who will."
