You may sell you prospect a cell phone (retail) and receive a commission on his monthly calling plan (residual)The company may, and in most cases does offer additional compensation for every person you "introduce" to their business model.While is sounds easy, there's always a catch. Many of these products are also offered by other companies, and at a lower cost. One must be absolutely diligent in choosing a product (or service) that has great value to the buyer, and at a lower cost than they can get somewhere else.Most professional marketers will also recommend that you personally use the products yourself, and develop your own, personal, testimonial on how good the product really is. Even in today's modern society, the gender card will come into play. While there may be gentlemen in the Mary Kay cosmetic business who are doing extremely well, the "women's cosmetic" line of companies my be best left to the women.Training:Most business professions have some sort of accreditation, but unfortunately Network Marketing is not one of them. Almost anyone with some money and a computer can get "on-line" and become part of the MLM world, the question is how well will the do.Every modern day profession requires years and years of skill building, and if we look at network marketing as a profession, we would expect the same. Those that think you can put on your network marketers hat, and be a millionaire overnight, need a reality check. Network Marketing is a real business, and needs a set of real business skills.
