Network Marketing Online must be approached like any other business, logically!To get it to work you must apply the same, sound business principles that have worked for setting up traditional offline businesses. The next weeks and months were spent defining exactly what his store would look like, the market to be targeted, the right name for the store, what style the store would represent and how this would be communicated. In short, the store brand was defined so that it would be unique and consequently stand out from all other similar stores.While the location of the store was carefully researched and chosen, work started on resourcing the shop fittings and a company to take care of the physical builds. Meanwhile my grandfather worked on marketing plans, deciding how he was going to promote his store. Of course back then this was mostly direct response advertising but he still had to research different advertising mediums available and their cost. He also had to learn the skill of copy-writing because there was no budget for an agency to handle this.In addition he set about putting systems into place for the smooth running of the store which included customer service, inventory and accounting processes. At the same time he went on buying trips from time to time so that he could find the products he wanted to sell in his store. Some of these were small and others bigger and a lot more expensive. Those selected were ordered and stored in preparation for the opening.Eventually the day arrived when he could open the store doors and showcase the amazing variety of soft furnishings he had sourced from all over the world. He went on to become hugely successful and opened three more stores down the line.Can you see the logic that he followed to get him to the point of being ready to trade?In summary he defined his store and brand first, then he learned how to market and systematize his business. Finally the products were added to the mix. Then and only then was he ready to do business because he had a unique store to market, knew how to market and he had products to promote that were consistent with his brand.Enter the online network marketer who often does this all back to front. They find an opportunity which they love so they make this the focal point of their business. The problem is thousands of others are doing the exact same thing. They do their level best to sell their company and product and they can't understand why nobody is interested.Someone tells them that they need to have a unique online presence so they do their best to create a personal brand to fit in with what they are doing but it's not that easy. Why? They are impatient because they must make money and soon.This is not going to happen however because they still don't know how to market. The reason for this is that network marketing companies teach associates to do what they have just tried and guess what it didn't work, so now what? Unfortunately the emotional hype that got them into the opportunity wears off, they blame everyone and everything for their failure and drop out.The truth of the matter is that there is a way to emulate this offline process so that you can help yourself to success online too. This is exactly how I teach people to become successful online. Follow these steps in this order.Step 1 - Make your business about you. Start with creating your brand so that you can stand out from the masses online. It's not complicated because all you must do is define what makes you different to anybody else and represent this online by way of a blog and social media presence. This is your equivalent to having a store.Step 2 - Learn how to market and how to set up your business systems. Fortunately there are very effective tools that can help you do this. These same tools will show you how to take on affiliate products and apply your marketing skills to promote these by way of a marketing funnel. Hey, you may even make some money! While you're learning the skills of marketing you'll pass this on to others who have come on board after you and who will be hungry for information. This helps you to build relationships with people who will want to be associated with you.Step 3 - Now you are ready to start looking around for a network marketing company which is the big ticket in your marketing portfolio. Because you have set yourself up for success, now it's just a matter of applying what you have learned on a consistent basis and you will be as successful as you want to be, Makes sense doesn't it?
